Introduction
Taking forward the agenda of Smart City and ‘Ease of Doing Business’, PMC decided to implement e-Governance initiatives to ensure transparency, faster online service delivery and mapping of assets to benefit the common citizen. We developed a basket of GIS Tools and Mobile Applications to make legal processes and documentation faster. For instance, the Automatic GIS Site Plan.
SOLUTIONS
We Initially Scanned the paper maps.
Using advanced GIS Technique including Edge Matching, Georeferencing and some manual Work, we matched the new GIS Generated Maps with Old Development Plan.
Conversion of Auto CAD Files to GIS Maps with Georeferencing.
We generated more than 500K Plus Plot Maps from Existing Development plan which was present or available on Paper Only.
Boundary Demarcation and Creating Buffer.
We developed a tool which allows Realtors to click on maps and understand restriction and additional permission required to developed a real estate property on that particular piece of land.
RESULTS
Citizen receive new Building Permit Map Certificate within 1 Minutes instead of existing 7 days because of manual process of Scan & Editing Paper Maps.
It also helped in Customer in Generating Additional Revenue.
The project helped Other Department to Utilize for Town Planning Purpose.
